I am lucky enough to be able to go out and paint/draw with a group of artists once a week. This past week we went to a very old farm belonging to a friend of mine.
For this sketch I used a 2B for the overall foundation sketch and a 9B for the darkest areas and some details. It was done on Strathmore Drawing; an economical, smooth paper; fine for everyday sketching, but harder to get good “darks” on due to the lack of “tooth”.
