This drawing was an experiment in working at top speed. My goal was simply to get the “essentials” of this structure down on paper as quickly as possible. My view of the barn was from below it, so the perspective was a little tricky. I used a 2B sketch pencil for the overall sketch, & 8B for the darker spots. Also did some blending with fingers. Paper: Canson Sketch.
The cupolas on this barn are unusual, being metal and very ornate. A little drive around a nearby area showed the same type on several barns. Must have been a persuasive cupola salesman in the area at one time!
